The Choice is Yours

The Theatre department at Pensacola State College offers numerous opportunities for students to perform while being enrolled in a comprehensive theatre program. Ashmore Auditorium, a working theatre on the main campus, provides students with hands-on experience both onstage and backstage.

Modern facilities and small classes are only a few reasons choosing Pensacola State College is a smart start to a successful career. With talented faculty and a solid academic and artistic reputation, Pensacola State College provides two-year associate of arts degree programs that successfully transfer with ease to all Florida universities and most other universities in the United States.

Drama Program

This program is designed to provide students with basic skills and concepts in the field of theatre. Students will learn acting skills, technical theatre skills, and have the opportunity to perform in plays and musicals.

Prospective students should meet with the Department Head in the Performing Arts Department for advising before classes begin. Students should also consult with an advisor at the college or university they plan to attend for the specific courses recommended by that institution.
