Matt Dailey (A.A. Music Ed, ’11) entered full time music ministry after stints teaching at both public and private schools. He currently resides in Tallahassee where he serves as the Minister of Music and the Arts at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church. His job involves overseeing the entire musical output of the church, which includes a worship band, vocalists, technical volunteers, and private studios for piano, voice, guitar, violin, and dance.
Michael Danielson (A.A. Music ’10) is the orchestra director for Woodham Middle School and Bellview Middle School and various elementary schools. He is also a conductor for the Escambia County Youth Orchestra and All-County Middle School Orchestra. He has taught privately at Pensacola Music Company and Elementary Music at various elementary schools. He has also toured the world as a member of the orchestra of Celebrity Cruise Line.
Stefanie Harger Gardner (A.A. Music ’04, Magna Cum Laude) is on the faculty at Glendale Community College and maintains a large private studio in the Phoenix area. She completed degrees in clarinet performance at Arizona State University, studying with Robert Spring. Gardner has an active performance career, performing with several ensembles, including Arizona Opera, Symphony of the Southwest, Paradise Winds, the Mill Avenue Chamber Players, and the Fountain Hills Chamber Players. She is a frequent soloist with many high school and college bands. In addition to performing and teaching, Gardner has a strong interest in woodwind pedagogy. In 2012, Gardner won first prize at the International Clarinet Association Research Competition with her study, “An Investigation of Finger Motion and Hand Posture during Clarinet Performance,” where she collaborated with the Center for Cognitive Ubiquitous Computing at ASU to study hand posture and finger motion during clarinet performance using CyberGloves®. Recently, Gardner performed at the 2013 ClarinetFest in Assisi, Italy and International Double Reed Society Conference in Redlands, California. Gardner currently resides in Ahwatukee, AZ, with her husband, Joshua Gardner, who is also a clarinetist.
Andrew Hubbard (A.A. Theatre ’03, Cum Laude) was a well-known performer at Pensacola State College, starring on the Ashmore stage in The Mikado, George M!, Bells are Ringing, The Shadow Box, and Life With Father, just to name a few. Upon graduation, he performed the role of Edmund in Long Day’s Journey Into Night at the Seaside Repertory. He is currently in the ensemble of Julius Caesar at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre. He will graduate with his MFA from Chicago College of the Performing Arts this spring.
Lendsey Kersey attended Pensacola State College (then PJC) from 2001 until 2003. While studying drama, she was able to gain experience with stage managing, scenic painting, carpentry, lighting, sound, running crew, properties, and so much more. She also gained lasting colleagues and friendships while in the Performing Arts Department. Lendsey’s credits at the school include George M!, No, No, Nanette, Carousel, Bells are Ringing, M.A.S.H., South Pacific, and Brutal Imagination. After earning her BA from the University of West Florida, she worked professionally in Houston at the TheatreLab,
Main Street Theatre, Musical Theatre of Houston, Masquerade Theatre, and the Texas Repertory Theatre Company. She has recently relocated to New York.
“The theatre department at Pensacola State College is light years ahead of any other Performing Arts department in the region and is ideal for the hands-on, foundational learning one needs to be able to succeed in the world of the theatre. I wouldn’t trade my time at this institution for anything.”
Vincent J. Teschel (A.A. Theatre ’07, Cum Laude) is a native of Pensacola, Florida. After receiving his degree in Theatre from PJC, he completed work on a certificate in Musical Theatre from the prestigious Circle in the Square Theatre in New York City. Vincent returned to Florida and graduated summa cum laude with his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre and Opera and a minor in Dance at Jacksonville University. He has performed professionally since graduating in 2010.
Some of his most memorable roles include Will Rogers in The Will Rogers Follies, Tateh in Ragtime, Matt in The Fantasticks, Tom in No, No, Nanette, Berger in Hair, Will in Oklahoma, Guglielmo in Cosi fan Tutte, Betto in Gianni Schicchi, Barnaby in Hello Dolly, Frank Butler in Annie Get your Gun, and Esteban in Norwegian Cruise Lines’ very own Rock-a-Hula.
Vincent has served as both an entertainer and as Artistic Director of the Greenbrier Resort in addition to writing, choreographing, and directing stage shows and cabarets regionally. Currently he is serving as an Entertainment Production Manager for Norwegian Cruise Lines.
Nethaneel Williams (A.A. Theatre ’12) is a native of Pensacola and holds his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Musical Theatre from the University of West Florida. He is a technically trained dancer in ballet, tap, modern, and jazz. His Equity Regional Theatre Credits include: Merrily We Roll Along (Terry/Dance Captain), Jesus Christ Superstar (Dance Captain), and The Buddy Holly Story (Apollo DJ/Featured Dancer). His favorite credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar (Dance Captain), The Journey (The Bum), Big River (Jim), West Side Story (Tony), Grease (Ensemble/Male Swing), and The Wizard of Oz (Cowardly Lion). His choreography work has been seen locally at Pensacola State College, the University of West Florida, and the Pensacola Little Theatre.
