Laura Sebastian Teaches Introduction to Theatre and Improv. She joined PSC in January 2015. Her training includes attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Shakespeare program in London. Ms. Sebastian obtained her MFA in Acting from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Graduate Acting Program, and is a member of Actors Equity (AEA) and the Voice And Speech Teachers Association (VASTA). Prior to her academic career, Ms. Sebastian worked as an actor in Washington D.C., New York City, and in regional theatre for 18 years.
Ms. Sebastian also teaches private acting classes with her own studio work called Actor’s Dojo. Her acting credits include theatre, film, and voiceovers. At PSC she has directed The Commons of Pensacola, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (S.H.O.W), and Funny Girl. Additionally, Ms. Sebastian has been seen in productions on the PSC stage in Noises Off, The Glass Menagerie, Uncle Vanya, and The Merry Wives of Windsor, among others. Ms. Sebastian also spearheads the Pensacola State College Shakespearience Caravan, which brings condensed Shakespearean works to local high schools in 30-minute performances.
